The Waiting

Max was scheduled for Dialysis this morning and then for surgery at noon. We got the Dialysis done, and were in his room waiting for the doctors to call for us...We waited, and waited and waited, finally at 4 they called for us. He was asking for food a lot since he was not allowed to eat anything today. So sad.

Now Sam and I are in his room, waiting for the doctors to call and tell us he is on his way back to our room. They have not called yet! So we wait!

I am happy to go home, and I feel good about the job of caring for Max without the nurses. What makes me nervous is that I will be taking on a lot more work when we get home. Since we have been at the hospital, my Mom, and Sam's mom have been a lot of help. Mollie flew up from Texas and stayed for the first week. She helped a ton with Levi, she helped with laundry, cooking, shopping and running errands. Sam and I have been taking turns staying at the hospital, with the off night being at my Mom's house in Everett. (that is also where Levi has been staying) She has been doing all of the cleaning, laundry, shopping and lots of caring for Levi while we are here. (Thank you Jesus for such wonderful Mom's!!!) So now, with us leaving for home, I am nervous about all the work we will have to take back on along with the full time care of our two precious boys.

Pray that we are able to give each of the boys what they need, and take care of ourselves. Pray that Max's kidneys recover 100% and quickly. Pray for wisdom in knowing what to say no too, and the Strength to allow people to help.

Thank you!
Shannon

God bless you Max, and help those doctors and nurses get you out of there and home again, where you can get better...

And I pray for strength and encouragement for Sam, Shannon and Levi - and all the family who has stepped in during this time. God is with us always, and His will prevails and guides us. He is our rock, and our salvation - He is the strength of our heart.

MANY prayers to you and Sam. You are wise to ask for the ability to ask for/accept help. It is most humbling to be in that position, but it is a blessing to others to be there for you. We are praying for everything to go smooth.

Okay, what do you want to eat? Anything, mop your kitchen and baths for you - we're there for you, kid. Please muster your Strength and give me a ring or email me. Can't wait to see you all and God will take you by the hand and lead you one step at a time. Blessings, Nikki, Felix, Felesha and Lauren

We will continue to pray for continued healing, and are praising God for what He has done so far! Lighten the load and CALL ANYTIME, day or night, so that we can get you through this journey still smiling..... We love you all immensely and want to assist with the cooking, the cleaning, or just simply bringing the coffee pot and a listening ear.... WITH GOD ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE! Hang in there and come home soon!
Love, the Moniz Family

Shannon, most of my comments have been addressed to Max or that big guy you hang out with, but I want you to know that YOU are in my prayers, too. In fact, maybe moreso. You're the glue that holds the family together, even with a great husband and extended family.

Don't worry about having enough strength to handle things when you're home. God will give you the strength you need, when you need it. You know that, of course - you've already been experiencing it!

Looking forward to more good news as I continue to pray.

God Bless you Max, and your Family for being so strong during this long road to recovery. I pray daily for you, and cannot wait to hear the good news post. Tomorrow I will visit God's house and ask that you be included in prayer for the day. I am confident he is watching over you and your family throughout all. Peace and Love...Mark
