He Sleeps...

Today was overall a pretty good day. Max had his second Kidney Dialysis and has done good with that. They were able to pull off a lot of excess fluid that was building up throughout his body. His blood pressure is still a bit high, mostly from the excess fluid, but overall his mood has improved.

We have no idea how long the road ahead is. It may mean Max and I staying in the hospital in Seattle for 1-2 months. While this is a daunting thought, I cling to the truth that my God is bigger than all of this and that He alone hold the future in His hands.

I am amazed and humbled by your responses and prayers. Know that they lift our spirits and encourage our hearts.

Shannon

Hey Max,

I know things are hard for you right now. When I was 13, I was hospitalized for 3 weeks due to a auto-immune disorder. It was one of the toughest times in my life and I can understand how difficult this must be for you. You're doing so well though, keep up the fight!

A couple of things I can say to you though, is to have hope! Through my experiences, having hope is vital to the recovery process. Another is to remember that God works for the good of those who love Him. so be strong okay! i'm keeping you in prayer!

Hi Max,

I hope you are feeling stronger today. I also hope your hospital has some nice toys to play with. My little girl is exactly your age and she spent most of the last year at a couple of different Children's hospitals here in Atlanta. She loved the playrooms and most of the nurses that helped take care of her. Now she just calls them her hospital home and sometimes (like when we have to give her chemo medicine at home) she tells us she wants to go back to her hospital home.

blessings,
Wayne and Sophia Langford,

Max,

I pray that God will bring healing to your body and that you will grow to be a living testimony to His powers of restoration.

My son Caleb had to stay in the hospital when he was 5 to have surgery on his head. Now he is 7 and is back to wrecking bike and tormenting his older sister.

Hearing your name reminds me of my favorite children's story "Where the Wild things are." I pray that very soon you will be able to put on your wolf suit and shout "Let the wild rumpus start" like the Max from that book

Sam and Shannon,

Grace and Peace to you from my wife and I who know what it is like to sit in PICUs and wait. I pray that God will bring healing for His glory.

Dear Max;

This is one of your sunday school teachers buddy. Remember one of our bible memory verses Joshua 1:9 says, .."God is with you wherever you go.." Know that Jesus is right there with you, all the time, and He will always be there with you and for you. Jesus knows just how you feel and will take care of you. I will pray that Jesus will make you better and I will pray for your Brother-Levi, Mom and Dad too! All of you "Be strong and courageous," because, "God is with you wherever you go." I love you, teacher Tami : 0 ) Dear Sam and Shannon;
I have an almost seven year old little girl "Kaylee" who attends C.T.K..She has Down Syndrome. I know the feeling of the unknown, and I can asure you that "God is with Max, Levi, Shannon and Sam wherever you go." God Bless you guys, I know it's hard....your sister in Christ Teacher Tami....

God has BIG plans for you - you are a MIGHTY MAN OF GOD in the making - so stand strong - have courage and keep talking to God about every little detail.
